Florida Greenway
Stretching across more than 70,000 acres of the former Cross Florida Barge Canal, the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway is one of Ocala’s most treasured resources. This 110-mile park showcases over 300 miles of trails – for horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, and paved multi-use paths.
Private Trailhead – With special cooperation, Via Paradisus will be one of the only private trailheads accessing the Florida Greenway. Safely crossing SE 110th Street via an automated crossing system, Via Paradisus residents will enjoy their own private entrance.
The Greenway also connects Via Paradisus with our world class neighbors, The Florida Horse Park.
Florida Horse Park
Situated in proximity to the renowned Florida Horse Park, Via Paradisus stands as an exquisite locale for discerning equestrian enthusiasts. Ocala/Marion County, celebrated as the Horse Capital of the World™, offers a rare gem in the form of the Florida Horse Park—an expansive 500-acre equestrian complex that proudly serves as a premier venue for equine and agricultural events, as well as diverse sporting showcases.
Its strategic location, less than 10 miles south of downtown Ocala, positions it as a coveted hub for both local and international gatherings. The facility boasts impressive features, including 350 meticulously manicured grass fields, 320 permanent stalls, an expansive 80,000-square-foot covered arena with versatile movable bleacher seating, and two comprehensive FEI-approved show jump sets, complete with warm-up fences. Show offices, essential components for stock horse trail classes, barrels for barrel racing, and an extensive array of over 100 cross-country jumps ranging from Entry Level (2 feet) to the Intermediate (3′ 9″) levels, further accentuate the Florida Horse Park’s prowess as a world-class destination for equestrian excellence.
